Mosaic Poster: Rick (7344 images)

I was recently asked to create a Mosaic Poster, which was to be given as a gift for Rick at his surprise 30th birthday.

His mother Lea had dug very, very deep to find hordes of extremely old and very recent images to use within the Mosaic.

I had created one of Lea herself (and husband John), a few years back. Click here to see it.

All said and done, the image was comprised of 7344 image elements.

Mr Huang: Mosaic (Flashback)

This is a Mosaic I put together as a Birthday present. It must be said that I did not take the main photo, or indeed any of the photos that went into producing it.

This was, far and away, the most complex Mosaic I have ever attempted. I spent several days working on it and eventually achieved a usable result using 9825 cels (131 x 75). The print ended up being more than a metre tall, with each individual image still being very clear from close-up.

I was very happy with the way that certain details were retained in the final Mosaic, such as the spines of the books on the back wall, or the bottle of wine in the right corner.

John and Lea: Mosaic (7052 Photos)

One of the most popular options I offer with Wedding Packages are the inclusion of Mosaic Posters. A Mosaic is the creation of a single image from many. The one below is the first one I attempted, for John and Lea McKenzie and is constructed from 7052 individual images.

The second image represents how the image looks close-up at actual size (depending on your monitor).

Mosaic Prints are great as wall features, or as a unique gift for family and friends. To learn more about Mosaic Prints, please contact me.
